Full Job Description

We are currently looking for a Vendor Assurance Manager to join the team for up to 12 months on a Maternity Cover contract.

With the recent implementation of our new source-to-pay system, you will be joining the team at an exciting time and will be part of our transformation journey, contributing to the future of affordable homes, services, and communities.

This is an exciting role within our new Procurement Shared Service and will provide group-wide assurance on contracting, suppliers, compliance, and governance and will manage the control framework for the Group's purchasing, ensuring it aligns with our Procurement Strategy.

You will be responsible for supplier relationship management and will lead a small team, requiring you work autonomously while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Experience and confidence in analysis and supply chain risk management are essential for this role as you be required to report on our supply chain and assurance levels, using your team's data to inform the risk management of our approved suppliers and monitor the quality of goods, materials, and services we receive.

  • Experience of supplier relationship management and building internal control frameworks for supply chains

  • Experience of producing corporate reports, specifically financial and compliance

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with experience of data analysis, data cleansing & data optimisation activities

  • Experience of working in public sector procurement or a similar control function, at managerial level would be desirable


  • While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park, Solihull and Central Park, Worcester. Your business mileage will be reimbursed as per the Inland Revenue mileage rates.

    Salary £35,314 - £39,238 per annum (depending on experience)
    Location Home based (with travel to Worcester/Solihull office as required)
