A day in the life of a Vet Nurse Advisor… Reporting to the Head of Consumer Services, the experience of working within a busy small animal practice and/or referral clinic will enable you to provide expert advice on companion animal health, nutrition for health conditions, and well-being for pets, directly to our customers, Veterinarians, and Vet professionals. You will also have the opportunity for ongoing training with our in-house Vets through onsite and external courses to meet the minimum annual CPD requirements. You will work shifts on a rota between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creatively & proactively resolving customer queries to satisfaction in order to build trust through expertise, and reassurance
  • Communicating directly with our customers and Veterinarians to offer advice and support on various topics, such as health conditions, science led nutrition and therapeutic diets
  • Supporting team members with Veterinary advice and training
  • Provide a seamless service by phone, email and video
  • Adapting to changing customer demands & expectations

    To be successful in this role you must be a fully qualified Vet Nurse with sound knowledge of small animal care. These roles come with a high degree of responsibility early on and therefore strong technical knowledge and proactive mind-set will be the key to your success.
  • You will also:
  • Have minimum of 2 years' experience of working within a Veterinary Practice
  • Be versatile, a problem solver and have excellent attention to detail
  • Have an interest in Pet nutrition
  • Hold a qualification in small animal nutrition (SACN) or hold the relevant hours of CPD study
  • Can make sound decisions under pressure and juggle conflicting priorities
  • Have experience of building relationships with customers
