Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join us at Charlton Vets4Pets.

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care. This a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.

We have one full-time position available working various shifts over 40 hours per week with a rota of 1 in 4 weekends.

You will be joining a team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Veterinary Care Assistants and 6 client care advisors.

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.

Our new colleague will be empathetic, passionate about the industry and will be compassionate about animal care; someone who strives to deliver the very best service for our animals and clients, every single time.

The role involves animal handling and predominantly supporting the veterinary team in all aspects of clinical practice. There may be some reception and front of house responsibility with the role therefore you will also need to have strong communication and customer service skills.

Pets just see people. They aren't biased and they don't discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!

In return, we offer such benefits as 20% discount at the Vet Group, Pets at Home and the Groom Room, access to discounts and cashbacks, in-house career development opportunities, pension and holiday allowance.
