Full Job Description

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Overseeing the processing and interpretation of laboratory samples submitted for biochemistry, haematology, cytology, culture and sensitivity testing.
  • Teaching final-year veterinary students and new graduate veterinary surgeons
  • Liaising with external veterinary surgeons, a point of contact for the clinic
  • Responsible for quality control, laboratory health and safety, and maintenance of equipment

    A biomedical science degree or equivalent is essential
  • SQP qualification preferred but not required
  • Veterinary experience would be a plus!
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems

  • Salary will be between £29,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience and skills
