Full Job Description

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will greet clients and their pets and provide excellent service. Your main tasks will include:

  • Build relationships with clients and their pets.
  • Provide great service and ensure a smooth visit.
  • Handle payments and bookings using our PMS system (computer skills needed).
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails.
  • Managing client accounts, care plans and assisting in dispensary.

    Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or experience within the veterinary industry is desired but not essential. The salary for this role is £12.22 per hour.

    We are a friendly, supportive team with 4 Vets, 5 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCAs, a practice manager, and a great client care team. Our RCVS accredited small animal practice offers x-ray, ultrasound, an in-house lab, dentistry, and isolation facilities. We are proud to be a silver cat-friendly and rabbit-friendly clinic.
  • We believe in work-life balance and offer flexible schedules. We have a visiting ophthalmologist, ultrasonographer and a surgeon for orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue procedures. We care about sustainability, using low-flow anaesthesia, recycling, and repurposing fur clippings.

    We have 1 full time position available which is working from 30 to 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays. This is a great opportunity to develop with possible job shares available. We also have 1 part time position available working between 13 to 20 hours per week. This is working Friday afternoons between 12:30-19:00 and every Saturday 8:30-17:00, plus two Monday's a month.,
