Full Job Description
We are looking for a Vet to join our busy and successful surgery based in Maidenhead, owned by Joint Venture Partner Anthony Emley who qualified from Nottingham in 2011. The ideal candidate to join our team will have good general surgical and medical skills and experience in emergency surgery. This role plays a key part within our small, friendly team. Anthony has a real passion to support his colleagues in furthering their qualifications in interests they may have. Anthony has recently enrolled on obtaining a surgery certificate and is happy to support his team on their own certificates. The clinical standards and therefore the exposure to experience here is a great opportunity for the right candidate.
This position is full time with a weekend rota of 1 in 4 and no OOH, meaning all of our colleagues can enjoy an excellent work/life balance. Can also consider part time hours. Successful applicants should be confident in an occasional sole charge role and enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues. Being long term graduated or having extensive UK experience is not essential, although advantageous. Our bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards with excellent facilities including digital x-ray, in house labs, ultrasound and a dental machine. You'll be part of a dynamic first opinion practice which enjoys a mixed case load with a high percentage of insured clients. In return we can offer you:
- Enhanced annual leave - 28 days including bank holidays rising to 33 days including bank holidays
- Flexible full or part time hours
- Competitive salary up to 65k
- Dedicated and generous CPD allowance including 5 paid days to attend
- Private Health Cover
- Enhanced sick leave pay
- Contributory pension scheme
- Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, BVA)
- No OOH
- Just 1 in 4 weekends
- Cycle to work scheme
- Compassionate Leave Day if you lose a pet
- Extended compassionate leave for family bereavement
- Exclusive company discounts and rewards This position offers more than your average vacancy with a modern way of thinking and encouragement to shape your own role! If you would like to hear more about this position please contact Jack Nesteruk at covet@vets4pets.com We want our colleagues to be as diverse as our clients. Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference so if you meet our role requirements, we'd love to hear from you. Pets just see people. They aren't biased and they don't discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
