Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and diverse team at Walton Lodge. Your typical week would include mornings and afternoons made up of consultations. After consultations, the rest of your day will be spent liaising with the inpatients and the owners regarding further workups required or you will be on theatre duties and will complete the ops booked in for that day. This role will be based at our Hoddesdon Branch. The role is mainly sole charge with close links and time at our main hospital in Ware.

Walton Lodge Veterinary Group Ltd was co-founded in September 2000, by Helen Lee BVSc, MRCVS & her partner Rodney Pugh. Walton Lodge has six surgeries which are situated in Bengeo, Bishop's Stortford, Harlow, Hoddesdon, Stevenage, and Ware. We're also excited to announce that we have just opened three brand new practices across Stevenage, and Hoddesdon and our Ware practice has been refitted and extended. All next to great transport links! Our high-standard equipment includes the latest in Digital Radiography technology, High-speed Colour Doppler Ultrasound scanners, Digital endoscopy, High-powered Dental Scalers and Polishers, and ECG & Anaesthetic monitoring equipment., Walton Lodge is made up of a team of 8 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses and 11 Receptionists. Helen Lee is the senior Veterinary Surgeon at Walton Lodge Helen qualified from Bristol University in 1984 and has worked in Hertfordshire since 1985 as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon. Our team of experienced and very capable Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses aim to provide the highest quality of care for our clients' pets. CPD is highly encouraged, for example, one of our vets is doing a laparoscopic course with the RVC shortly and one of our RVNs is doing a certificate in nursing.
