Full time is 38 hours over 4 days a week finishing no later than 7pm. You would also need take part in a 1:6 weekends rota 8:00am - 12:30pm. This role has no OOHExplore our established practice At Mill House, you'll primarily care for cats and dogs, with the option to work with rabbits, tortoises, birds, and even hedgehogs if you're interested. Your work will be balanced between consults and theatre, focusing on routine cases, soft tissue surgeries and any emergency cases. If orthopaedics is your passion, there's plenty of room to develop those skills too. We're proud to collaborate with a local hedgehog charity, offering unique cases to broaden your expertise. Our practice features a supportive team of skilled nurses and a well-organized dispensary, easily accessible from our consult rooms to ensure a smooth workflow. We're looking for a client-focused vet who enjoys the variety of general clinical practice. While certificates aren't required, we encourage and fund further study for those eager to expand their knowledge. Our longstanding team put pet care at the heart of everything we do We are a small animal first opinion and referral hospital, recognized with Outstanding ratings in all six RCVS awards. Our state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge equipment, and the expertise of our dedicated team provide an ideal environment for professional development and growth. Our leadership team, Clinical Director Michael Morter and Practice Director Catherine Carter, support 12 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, including certificate holders in cardiology, advanced imaging, ECC, soft tissue, ophthalmology, small animal medicine, and exotics. We also have a strong support team of 16 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Student Veterinary Nurses, and 16 support staff. We foster a culture of curiosity and learning, where input from all team members is valued, and well-being is a priority. Our advanced practitioners are available to mentor and guide your career progression. As a busy first opinion practice, we handle a diverse caseload and offer referral services in internal medicine, laparoscopy, radiology, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, and acupuncture. We're equipped to support oncology, surgical, diagnostic imaging, and medical services, providing plenty of opportunities to specialize according to your interests. Our top-tier equipment includes video endoscopy, laparoscopy, vascular sealing devices, harmonic scalpels, CR digital X-ray and dental X-ray, color flow Doppler, capnography, ventilators, and slit lamps. In addition to our clinical focus, we offer comprehensive training facilities, a comfortable vets' office, and a well-stocked library. As a Gold Standard Cat Friendly Clinic, Silver Standard Rabbit Friendly Clinic, and two-time Practice of the Year award winner, our commitment to client and patient care is well-known.
