Full Job Description

Chester Veterinary Training Centre (CVTC) has three approved VetSkill Veterinary Nurse Centres based in Chester in the North West, Dereham in Norfolk and Harrogate in North Yorkshire. We run apprenticeship courses in Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, Level 2 Animal Care Assistant and privately funded courses in Level 5 Advanced Veterinary Nursing. We are looking for a part time administrator (19hours a week) who will be based at the Dereham Centre, just off the A47. This individual needs to be organised, reliable, efficient, friendly and approachable. The role is face to face and will be supported remotely by the administrator based at Chester CVTC, responsibilities will include helping with student inductions and queries, managing the mailbox and telephone, invigilating exams, tracking information, marketing and supporting students, tutors and the administration team. The role is unique, interesting, diverse and extremely rewarding for the right candidate who wants to have ownership and grow into a role. IT skills are preferable as the role involves different systems and online platforms.

  • 6 weeks leave a year (5 weeks plus bank holidays/equivalent) rising to 7.6 weeks leave a year after first 5 years of service (1 extra day per annum based on service)
