Full Job Description

  • Direct reporting line to the SVP Logistics and thus both an active member of the global logistics team in the Arla Supply Chain and part of the UK Commercial Leadership Team

  • Responsible for building a logistics organisation that optimises safety, service, quality and costs throughout Arla's value chain from farm to fork

  • Ensure cost competitiveness and continuous development of the organisation that both internal and external customers receive an excellent level of quality and service

  • Setting the direction, implementing and embedding new solutions across UK Logistics to enable the realisation of sustainability, digital and efficiency agendas

  • Strategically strengthen the team's leadership and logistics capabilities and drive the promotion and continuous improvement in the areas of customer logistics demand planning, warehousing and transport

    We are looking for a passionate leader with a strong holistic view and dedicated people management skills

  • Strong technical knowledge within FMCG and a proven track record as a senior leader in logistics or wider supply chain

  • Proven experience leading transformational change within a global matrix organisation, with a focus on customer centricity and digitalisation

  • In-depth expertise in modern logistics, including knowledge and experience of developing transport and warehousing functions for an international organisation

  • Strong decision maker who is able to combine an analytical approach and tight vision with decisive action

  • Strong ability to act smartly and strategically while being a team player willing to roll up your sleeves

  • Strong communication skills to engage and inspire on a common agenda combined with interpersonal and influencing skills to inspire and interact with other departments, employees and external vendors and carriers

  • Fluency in English is an absolute must, as is a high level of willingness to travel within and outside of the UK when required
