Vice Principal - Wellbeing and Engagement

Team SUA are in an exciting phase of its development, having secured a 'Good' judgment in all areas in our most recent Ofsted inspection in October 2023, we continue to go from strength to strength.

The vacancy of Vice Principal: Wellbeing and Engagement, arises as our current postholder is leaving the team at the end of the autumn term to begin an exciting new venture. If successfully appointed you would be working alongside our Vice Principal who has the strategic lead over Curriculum and Quality of Education here at SUA. In line with our academy vision, of improving the life chances of all of our students, you would strategically lead a strong, well-structured pastoral team delivering on high expectations for all.

These are exciting times to join SUA's leadership team. Student numbers are at a record high and our core values to Aspire, Believe and Achieve are upheld by a brilliant team of colleagues striving to get the very best for all of our students. We continue to drive ambition and aspiration into the hearts and minds of all of our learners and are proud to have a committed staffing body relentless in their desire to achieve this.

We are an evidence informed academy and each year every member of the team produces a project to support our continued improvement. Our annual showcase is a celebration of the work that colleagues have undertaken; we thrive on reflection and sharing the very best practice. To be successful, you must have an expert knowledge of the process of learning, coupled with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. You will have a desire to progress further in your career and the ability to make a real difference to the catchment to which we serve.

Are you an ambitious leader who is making a difference in your current role? Have you been in post as an Assistant Headteacher and are now looking for your next challenge? Are you already a Deputy Headteacher but would like to work in our setting to complement your existing experiences? Are you ready to take on a new challenge and join the leadership team at Staffordshire University Academy? If so please read the attached application pack and visit our website www.suacademy.co.uk. You are also invited to join one of the informal tours as stated below.

Informal visits: Thursday 19th and Tuesday 24th (am) or Thursday 26th (pm)

Closing date: 9am, Monday 30th September 2024

Interviews: Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th October
