Full Job Description

We are looking for volunteers to support victims of crime in Cheshire, you will provide face to face emotional and practical support., Applications are welcomed from all underrepresented groups and support will be made available throughout the recruitment process for all applicants. Under-represented groups include:

  • People of ethnic minority
  • Individuals who identify as having a visible or invisible disability
  • Gender in relation to female representation for PC entry routes
  • Gender in relation to male representation for Staff entry routes
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender + (LGBT+)

    The successful candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable adults or supporting them in difficult situations. Empathy and excellent listening skills are essential.
  • Successful candidates can choose the location in which they volunteer and be able to commit to two days training at Police HQ and 2 days volunteer availability. Please note it is not essential to have a car for this role but the volunteer must be able to travel in their preferred area of Cheshire.

    Please note, if this is a paid role and the role is part time then the salary quoted will be pro rata based on the hours worked per annum.
