CPS HQ Strategy and Policy is delighted to advertise the role of Victim Transformation Programme Manager role.
The Victim Transformation Programme is a priority piece of work in the CPS, with a key focus of improving the experience of victims through the criminal justice system. As victim transformation programme manager you lead on delivering effectively in this vital area – providing direction, expert project management guidance and strategic planning relating to our service to victims. As leader of the project management office team you act as a role model – supporting improvements, ensuring high-level performance and championing CPS strategic policies to achieve our desired business outcomes.
You’re responsible for communicating and setting clear expectations for the programmes of work, reporting on risks and issues, and making sure assurance activities are in place. You play a role representing the organisation externally and influence stakeholders where there are challenges – all to meet the needs and ambitions of our service to victims., As victim transformation programme manager you provide direction, expert programme management guidance and strategic planning to the project. You directly line manage the project management office and evaluation manager, as well as overseeing the work of wider corporate functions that support the programme such as communications, HR and finance. You act as a role model in effective programme management across the CPS – supporting improvements, ensuring high-level performance and championing CPS strategic policies to achieve our desired business outcomes.
Responsibilities
+ To oversee programme governance and assurance, monitor progress, manage risks and issues and establish business readiness for change.
+ To oversee programme finances, coordinating business case production and managing cost controls and resources.
+ To identify and manage senior stakeholder relationships both internal and external, demonstrating strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
+ To ensure realisation of benefits for the business, victims and partners, maintaining a broad outlook on Government activity and criminal justice system operational issues and overseeing the management of the programme evaluation., We'll assess you against these behaviours during the selection process:

This is a full-time post. However, requests for flexible, part-time working and job share will be considered, considering at all times the operational needs of the Department.

From September 2024, you must spend at least 40% of your contracted hours over a four-week period at court, in an office or another official workplace depending on business need and the kind of work you're doing.
Clearance Required
The successful applicant will be required to secure DBS clearance.
If successfully appointed, you will be asked to complete the Character Enquiry Form and Nationality and Immigration Questionnaire
If you are an internal member of staff, you will not be required to undergo this DBS check as you will already hold this clearance.

Reserve List
Candidates who are recommended by the selection panel but not appointed to the current vacancy will be placed on a reserve list for 12 months and may be offered another post, should any further vacancies for a Victim Transformation Programme Manager arise in their chosen location. CPS may also approach candidates on the waiting list to fill other roles requiring similar knowledge and experience, including in other locations.
