Full Job Description

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is recruiting a victim transformation programme manager, to be based at any CPS office in England and Wales.

About your role

The Victim Transformation Programme is a priority piece of work in the CPS, with a key focus of improving the experience of victims through the criminal justice system. As victim transformation programme manager, you lead on delivering effectively in this vital area - providing direction, expert project management guidance and strategic planning relating to our service to victims. As leader of the project management office team, you act as a role model - supporting improvements, ensuring high-level performance and championing CPS strategic policies to achieve our desired business outcomes.

You're responsible for communicating and setting clear expectations for the programmes of work, reporting on risks and issues, and making sure assurance activities are in place. You play a role representing the organisation externally and influence stakeholders where there are challenges - all to meet the needs and ambitions of our service to victims.

We're looking for someone with experience in a range of leadership and project management responsibilities, including:

  • successful management and delivery of complex projects and programmes

  • leading teams and managing stakeholders across an organisation

  • delivering programme management functions including RAID, planning and cost controls

  • experience using project management tools and software, including Microsoft Project or similar.
