Video and Influencer Marketing Assistant - 6 month fixed term contract

We are looking for a creator with strong video and editing skills to spend six months working for a publishing house promoting our books to a big online audience.

Your team:
You will be part of the Digital team, where you will get a chance to work across a wide range of genres, authors, and imprints, as well as working closely with the wider comms team on video and influencer projects.

Your role:
As the Video and Influencer Marketing Assistant, you will have a very creative role, filming and editing for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, as well as for other business uses. You will get the chance to interview authors, go behind the scenes across all areas of the business, and show off the amazing books we publish to an engaged online audience. You will also provide invaluable administrative support for our influencer marketing programme.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Film and edit multiple videos a week for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other business uses

  • Contribute to the creative strategy behind our social media channels

  • Monitor and report on performance of social media posts

  • Provide administrative support for our influencer marketing programme: mailings, contracts, cover reveals

  • Ensure online coverage is being properly tracked using our influencer management tool

    Strong filming and video editing skills, for both shortform and longform video

  • Knowledge and experience of managing social media channel admin across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, and interpreting social media insights

  • Understanding of online video and social media trends

  • Understanding of the influencer landscape on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram

  • Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to deliver on regular deadlines and provide organisational support for logistics

  • Excellent communication skills, and capability to communicate sensitively in an online environment

  • Research and analytical skills

  • You must be able to send us a link to your digital portfolio or social media accounts to showcase your content creation ability and understanding of social media communities


  • Desirable skills we'd love you to have:
  • Experience working in a social media role

  • Passion for shortform video with a keen interest in books

  • Core knowledge and experience of high quality TikTok content creation, either from a brand or from an owned channel

  • Creativity and ability to create engaging and responsive content

  • Comfortable appearing on camera

  • Experience or familiarity with Google Suite

    Salary starting from: £28,000,

  • This is a full time, 6 month fixed term role, and will be based in our offices in Farringdon, London, with some flexibility to work from home each week.
