Full Job Description

The post will involve making clinic appointments, arranging home visits. Typing letters following clinics and visits. Answering the telephones, taking and relaying messages. Updating respiratory data bases.
The post involves in putting data for the national Asthma and COPD audits.

Please review all documents attached to ensure you familiarize yourself with all requirements of the job., The post holder will be responsible for providing high standard/quality administrative and clerical services to the respiratory service. Book appointments for respiratory nurses. They will be a point of contact for department enquiries and act as a liaison officer between patients and clinical staff.
+ Book appointments for respiratory patients.
+ Contact point for enquiries from wards and internal departments.
+ Check voicemail messages on a regular basis.
+ Update nurse contacts on PIMS
+ Type up medical records following visits / contacts with patients
+ To act as a contact point for queries and enquiries.
+ Input data for national asthma and COPD audit
+ Ensure Data Quality standards are met and confidentiality is maintained at all times. Ensure the telephone is answered promptly and efficiently so that all calls are dealt with in a courteous and timely manner
+ To develop a high standard knowledge of the PiMS system in order to understand the importance of the information being recorded.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate administrator to join our friendly team of nurses and secretaries. We are a very busy team caring for respiratory patients both in the hospital and at home. The successful candidate will need to be hard working and flexible and have an excellent telephone manner. A large part of this role will involve talking to patients / relatives on the phone They must be computer literate and have some audio typing skills., + Good knowledge of e procurement and responsible for ordering stocks
