Full Job Description

St Edward's Oxford is looking for an experienced and well-qualified pianist to join us on a part-time basis.

You will work with pianists of varying ability, from beginner level right the way through to grade 8 and beyond. You will teach individual pupils and will prepare them for exams and performances as appropriate, whilst helping to inspire confidence and to develop your pupil's skills in the instrument.

You will need an ABRSM teaching/performing diploma or the equivalent, along with an understanding of the ABRSM, Trinity College London and/or RockSchool syllabuses. You will possess previous experience of teaching young people and the ability to inspire and enthuse pupils of different ages and backgrounds. The ability to teach a variety of different styles to beginners, including popular genres, will be an advantage.
