Full Job Description

Reporting to the VM and Space Planning Manager, the Visual Merchandiser plays an important role within the Visual Merchandising team.

The VM will be creating and maintaining planograms across the retail estate, creating captivating displays that leave a lasting impression, demonstrating how we 'love our customers'; by 'caring for our colleagues', the VM will collaborate with the visual merchandising team, retail and the commercial team; the VM will also 'protect the pounds' by ensuring maximum profitability from each planogram designed.

The role is based at our Customer Support Centre (CSC) in Walsall, with the ability to work agile between 'home' and the CSC.,

  • Ensuring all planogram accurately reflect the commercial range and the business objectives

  • Visit stores and competitors to identify space management, store layout, product and range issue and opportunities and communicating relevant actions needed

  • offer feedback on how the current process can be improved for our customers

  • Working within the VM team to ensure planograms meet the expected criteria for all acitivity within planograms to maximise sales

  • Working with the team and other stakeholdersat different mock shop locations to achieve physical builds for the catgoriesk, working with the buying team to ensure ranges are built to agreed objectives

  • physically building all ranges to ensure planograms are operationally viable for stores to follow

  • Creating, maintaining and updating planograms in each trading area across all store whilst making sure correct business objectives are reflected.

  • Create a visual representation of product in store, considering factors such as product demand, retail shelf space, visual appeal, and customer flow

  • Ensure range and space is managed effectively to deliver optimum performance with weekly planogram updates.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
