An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead our Vocational Specialist Support Service across Inpatient Rehabilitation Services!
The role would suit someone who is highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and is passionate about supporting individuals with complex mental health problems to access vocational opportunities.
You will work alongside and supervise Peer Employment Specialists. You will have a small caseload, supporting people into their vocational/employment goals; providing support, supervision, specialist advice and guidance. The role will also involve producing reports for internal and external stakeholders. In addition, engaging in Voluntary Community Social Enterprise (VCSE) to build relationships with local employers, voluntary organisations and communities to access the hidden labour market and reduce inequalities. In addition, ensuring good working relationships are in place with internal stakeholders including clinical staff, OTs in the borough and external stakeholders
This role will require the successful candidate to travel frequently across our multiple inpatient rehabilitation sites.
Our service users require intensive and consistent support in order to support them to both create and access vocational / employment opportunities.
This role is ideal for you, if you enjoy a challenge and coaching others to reach their full potential., Lead, develop and supervise the Peer Employment Specialists within the Adult In-Patient Mental Health Rehabilitation Service using the evidenced based Individual Placement and Support Model, ensuring that the service delivers against vocational targets. To work collaboratively with Peer Employment Specialists and line managers to ensure that vocational services within the Rehabilitation services are delivered effectively and in line with evidenced based practice.
Lead on a strategy for the Adult In-Patient Mental Health Rehabilitation Service by engaging with Voluntary Community Social Enterprise (VCSE) and the local employment market to build relationships with local employers, voluntary organisations and communities to access the hidden labour market and reduce inequalities.
To proactively work with local employers and the CNWL Volunteering Programme to open-up vocational /employment opportunities for people who have experienced mental health problems with the aim of developing a project that recognises that there are users of the service, firstly, people who have experienced mental health problems and secondly, local employers.
To lead on Service User and carer involvement via employment recovery stories and feedback surveys
