Full Job Description
The purpose of the job is to assist me to expand my experiences and confidence. I want my Personal Assistant to participate in physical activities with me.
I am a 7-year-old boy living in Barry with my family. I attend mainstream school with full-time one to one support. I am verbal and can express myself but my language is behind my peers. My diagnosis is autism, but I am easy-going, flexible and don't have a strict routine. My additional needs means I lack awareness of danger. I won't run off but hypervigilance is needed., · An outgoing, energetic and bubbly person is important
· Someone I can have fun with
· Experience working with children with additional needs
· You must be flexible with your time being able to accommodate the shifts of my preference
· A car owner/driver who is willing to use car for work purposes/take me on outings
ABOUT THE JOB
Although this is a part-time job, it will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The salary will be paid on a 4 weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay given (5.6 weeks pro rata).
The post is subject to a probationary period and a DBS (Police) Check at no cost to you. You will have to supply 2 references, one of which should be able to comment on your work practices.
