Role Requirements:
Effective communication skills will be your forte as you coordinate with clinic staff to address any transport issues, ensuring that patients arrive and depart safely and on time. Most importantly, you'll serve as a vigilant advocate for our patients, promptly escalating any concerns to the appropriate staff member and ensuring that each individual receives the support and care they deserve. Make a difference in just a few hours a week. Apply now and help us create a comforting environment for our patients!

Are you empathetic and ️ love helping others? We're looking for caring volunteers to provide comfort and support to patients in our Orthopaedic Pre Op Department. With meticulous attention to detail, you'll ensure that each patient's appointment details are in order, guaranteeing a seamless experience from start to finish. Your dedication extends beyond greetings; you'll take pride in meticulously preparing patient packs, ensuring they have all the necessary information and resources for their procedure.

We have 400 fantastic volunteers working hard to support the services that we deliver to our patients. As a Trust, we help look after 370,000 people in our local area & give specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria.
Volunteering with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.
You'll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you'd never have done. You'll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills.
You'll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold & help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care and enhancing their experience which means our volunteers are pivotal and something really to be proud of.
