Full Job Description

The post holder will work as part of the Voluntary Services Team to support the coordination, development and promotion of the voluntary services within Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The post holder will provide high quality support for the administration and clerical Voluntary Services Team.

The post holder will support the Voluntary Services Lead with the development of voluntary services throughout the Trust and liaise/communicate with stakeholders. The post holder will support the Voluntary Services Lead to ensure all volunteer activity is aligned to the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Volunteering Policy., To be responsible of the volunteer recruitment process, working with the Voluntary Services Coordinator on initial enquiries and then leading on interviews, appropriate checks, ensuring specified timescales are met, addressing any problems and escalating where appropriate.

To work with the Voluntary Services Coordinator in managing the volunteer management system ensuring all records are accurate and compliant in line with Trust policies.

To support the Voluntary Services Lead in ensuring all processes and documentation are compliant with trust policies.

Promote positive working relationships internally with staff, Services, and Clinical Managers within the Trust; develop and maintain key working partnerships with a range of external organisations in relation to volunteering.

Supervise the management of volunteers to include; recruitment, selection, placement, training and supporting volunteer placement across various roles., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream
