Full Job Description

The Vice President of Commercial Operations and Strategy is an integral leadership role reporting to the President of MPT. This role is responsible for driving the company's commercial growth and operational excellence and will oversee the development and execution of strategies that enhance market positioning, operational efficiency, and revenue generation around the world. The VP will collaborate with Business Unit GMs and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and operational capabilities, leveraging data-driven insights to steer the company's commercial agenda., Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive global commercial strategies to achieve business goals, including market expansion, revenue targets, and competitive positioning.

Operational Excellence: Partner with General Managers and other business leaders to oversee commercial operations, ensuring efficiency in processes and systems. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize performance.

Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. Utilize insights to inform strategy and drive decision-making.

Revenue Growth: Formulate and execute strategies to drive revenue growth across various channels. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align efforts and achieve revenue targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with GMs and senior leaders across functions, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Development, to ensure cohesive execution of commercial strategies and operational plans.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of commercial and marketing professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Financial Management: Oversee the budgeting and financial planning process for commercial operations. Monitor financial performance and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers. Represent the company at industry events and forums.

Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of commercial strategies and operational processes. Use data to drive insights and refine approaches.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in a global commercial operations, strategy, or a related role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences markets is desired. Experience in manufacturing, engineering or lean manufacturing environment is desired.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM systems, ERP platforms, and data analytics tools. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
