    Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds - an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent., The VP, WMI Finance Operations and Services is a key leadership role that works closely with WMUK Finance, international business finance, London-based International business units and the WMG Corporate office, based in New York. The position ensures close liaison between the teams it oversees to mitigate process gaps and resolve issues as they appear. The VP, WMI Finance provides leadership, gives guidance on team structure, represents the department to global senior leadership and acts as an escalation point for complex issues that arise within the team or other teams/affiliates. The VP, WMI Finance also has responsibility for ad-hoc, varied projects across both UK and International.

    The position is based in London and reports to the VP, Global Process Lead.

    We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to fill the role of Vice President of Finance Operations and Services for our esteemed International Shared Service Centre. This pivotal position oversees a talented team of four department heads, each managing diverse functions within WMI Finance.

    SSC - Financial Reporting, EMEA
  • Lead the financial reporting for EMEA Publishing and Recorded Music affiliates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in monthly and quarterly reporting.

  • Spearhead balance sheet reconciliations and maintain a robust internal audit and SOX compliance framework.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with regional CFOs and FDs to swiftly address issues and drive operational efficiency.

  • Tax reporting and compliance for EMEA affiliates

  • Treasury and cash management for EMEA affiliates


  • International Finance
  • Oversee global digital revenue outside the US and international overheads with meticulous attention to detail

  • Drive accurate financial reporting for complex digital deals and manage intricate revenue accruals

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on Group Transfer Pricing accounting to ensure compliance with global standards

  • Implement robust processes for new deal structures

  • Monthly and quarterly reporting, balance sheet recs and SOX compliance across all international departments

  • External audit responsibility for WMISL

  • Maintaining a strong control environment in a highly complex part of the business

  • Building strong relationships with key global departments including the US digital finance team, business development, legal, corporate finance, tax & treasury teams

  • Represent WMG as the Lead on the IFPI Global Finance Committee, the trade body representing the music industry, responsible for reporting global market sizes and setting global standards

  • Tax compliance including supporting submission of VAT, WHT, PSA and Corporation tax returns

  • Accurate budgeting & forecasting for centrally owned repertoire and international team overheads including Marketing, Finance, HR, IT and more

  • Business partnering to ensure budgets are managed and adhered to


  • SSC - Transactional Finance
  • Provide strategic direction to transactional finance covering EMEA AP, AR, and Expenses


  • SSC - Service Desk, EMEA
  • Lead the EMEA Service Desk team in providing prompt responses to internal and external queries, ensuring seamless operations


  • International Royalties
  • Managing artist royalty contracts within our in-house royalty system, guaranteeing accuracy in artist statements and payments

  • Nurture artist relationships by effectively addressing queries

  • Managing artist audits with sensitivity and professionalism


  • Ad-hoc Projects
  • Spearhead various high-impact projects, including global SAP implementation, data migration, system testing, and the transition of regional finance operations into the newly created London SSC

  • Significant professional experience managing complex financial accounting

  • Proven track record of managing large teams, motivating the teams to deliver strong results under tight deadlines

  • ACMA, ACA or ACCA qualified with 10+ years post-qualification experience

  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP and related financial reporting regulations and standards.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure

  • Cultivate and develop key relationships.

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present financial information accurately and effectively.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, plus the ability to influence others

  • Proven organizational efficiencies and business process re-engineering skills.

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently.

  • Willingness to travel if required
