Full Job Description
VQMS Runner
Technical - Taiko Acton
Contract: Full Time
Salary: 28,000
Contracted Hours: 42
Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.
Taiko Foods are implementing digital transformation systems within their production stream and require a ‘VQMS runner’ to support the teams in accessing and using this manufacturing execution system (VQMS) to 100% completion, assisting us with traceability and mass balance legal compliance.
The role will require the successful candidate to help ensure that VQMS is functioning successfully and efficiently. This will be accomplished through the coordination of relevant factory users of the system and will require communication with multiple departments across the site(s) to ensure that they are completing their jobs on the system. There is an opportunity here for the candidate to be a key player in the automating of digital processes at Taiko Foods, and to help pave our digital landscape for the future.
This role requires attention to detail, organisation and communication skills. The candidate will be computer literate, but no IT skills or previous knowledge is required. They will be given full training on our custom digital systems and will be expected to be able to learn on the job and become autonomous once trained.
Previous experience within the food manufacturing sector is not essential but some experience with food is preferred. This is an exciting opportunity for a goal-oriented, charismatic individual to help organise production planning and execution within the fresh food manufacturing industry (FMCG/ready meals), and help bolster Taiko Foods into the future through smart digital process design, and process development.
This role requires a 12-hour shift, on a 4-on 4-off working rotation. The successful candidate would be expected to work either days or nights, as agreed by your manager in advance
