Full Job Description

Gastroenterology Department is a busy and interesting work environment, based in the Quadram Institute. The unit is a centre of excellence providing a variety of endoscopy procedures both diagnostic and therapeutic to a population of 750,000 people.We have an exciting opportunity for a Waiting List Coordinator to join our established Endoscopy Waiting List TeamThe post holder will provide waiting list management for the Gastroenterology Directorate. This role relies on close working relationships between consultants, secretaries, departmental staff, patients and general practitioners. The post holder will ensure that all waiting lists within Gastroenterology are maintained accurately, observing the rules of 'real time data entry'. All aspects of this role should be carried out in line with the Patient Access Policy and the Trust PAS User Policy. As a busy department our patients are at the heart of everything we do and being focused on delivering the quality of care that our patients expect is vital in this role. You will have direct contact with our patients and their relatives, the general public and a wide range of multi professional staff, internal and external to the Trust. Interview date: 18 October 2024, You will work as part of a busy team and respect and integrity are an essential part of the ethos of working together that drives our department. This is a busy role with varying demands, so building an effective rapport with colleagues and being ready to take their guidance and offer your support will be really important.
