Full Job Description

To have day to day responsibility for the implementation and delivery of systems to effectively maintain elective waiting lists, ensuring access to services is equitable for all patients and within national and local policies and guidance.
This will involve working closely with the clinical service, the information department, and the performance management department with a view to being proactive on the management of the elective waiting list position, with the aim of reducing waiting times for treatment.
To liaise with the collaborative Resource Coordinators and Booking Teams to ensure all theatre session for in-patients and day cases, including waiting list initiatives, are utilised effectively and efficiently. Monitor out-patient activity and to assist in meeting targets by forecasting breaches and making recommendations to resolve any issues.
To prepare for and participate in directorate PTL meetings providing support to secretarial teams to support and improve directorate RTT compliance., South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. The leadership and improvement programme aims to:

After you complete these three and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team., It is now the policy of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust who require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered, are required to pay the cost of their DBS. The method of payment for this is via salary deduction from your first month's pay.

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Digestive Diseases, Urology and General Surgery Collaborative for an organised and enthusiastic Waiting List Manager to join the team.
The role will be based within General Surgery and Urology. The post-holder will have excellent planning, communication and organisational skills. Working closely with secretarial, booking and resource coordination teams the successful candidate will build effective working relationships to ensure that we provide an efficient and reliable service from initial first out patient appointment through followup and onto surgery in a timely and joined up process.
