Waiting Well Assistant

Since 2009 NHS Talking Therapies NE Lincolnshire (previously Open Minds) service has provided low and high intensity therapy for people experiencing anxiety and depression. These are delivered by a clinical team of Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Cognitive Behaviour Therapists, EMDR , couples psychotherapy, Counselling for Depression, Interpersonal Psychotherapy.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, empathic, dedicated person to support with the management of waiting lists made up of service users awaiting psychological therapy for their depression and/or anxiety. This will include monitoring their well being, any changes in risk, and referring on as appropriate.

The 4 weekly telephone calls and interaction will be recorded on SystemOne and you will received regular supervision. You will participate in waiting well groups and other initiatives. You will be a vital component to ensure the service users journey into therapy is a positive one.

Main duties of the job

Interviews will be contacted by NHS Talking Therapies Service Manager, team manager/clinician and where possible a service user representative.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate empathy, compassion and be organised.

This post is not a remote post and there is an expectation that the individual will be office based for all of their working hours to allow for immediate support whilst conducting calls. The successful candidate will be required to work one late night a week (8pm finish) though more are available at request.
