Do you like working as a team? Are you passionate about supporting people's Mental Health?, An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in the Acute Services as an Administrator for an individual who is keen to develop their skills. We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to join the service, working in our mental health inpatient wards as a team administrator. Your duties will include supporting patients and their relatives who are admitted into the ward as well as providing comprehensive administrative support to the multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, support workers and other professionals involved in patient care., The post holder will provide an efficient and professional service ensuring quality service to all users, their families and professionals contacting the Ward. The post holder will also be required to cover other wards within Dennis Scott Unit to provide support during absence of other administrators.

The perfect candidate will have a flexible approach in providing administration support to the multi-disciplinary teams working with a client group with mental health problems. There will be client and carer telephone contact and, face-to-face contact on daily basis therefore, good communication skills are essential. You should have good organisational skills and have experience of dealing with members of the public. You will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to use your own initiative.

You will need to be:

  • An experienced administrator

  • An excellent verbal & written communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • A true team player and be able to use your initiative

  • A multitasker with a "can do" attitude

  • Proficient in all MS packages, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Able to swiftly solve problems & work under pressure without compromising quality

  • You must be able to work independently and as a team, prioritising workload in an environment that is constantly changing.
