Ward administrator for Avenham, Duxbury, and Worden Ward, Chorley District Hospital

Full time, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

An opportunity has arisen to join our small and supportive ward administrators for our Mental Health Inpatients administration team.

You will be the face of reception and first point of contact for visitors and the wider clinical team.

You will required to support our three wards for patients who have been admitted due to crisis.

Whilst challenging at times, your contribution to the admin team is vital to ensure the daily administrative operations are completed., The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service to the Inpatientward within the Mental Health Network, coordinating their activities with other members of theAdministration Team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided. To carry out theseduties the ward clerk will be expected to utilise a range of technical skills, which may include wordprocessing, use of e-mail and other IT skills as well as using highly developed inter-personal andcommunication skills.The post holder will be aligned to a specific team and is required to work flexibly in response to theneeds of the Networks administrative service providing cover to departments on various sites asdirected by their Deputy Admin Lead to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.

You will have proven experience of working in a busy administrative team.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
