Ward administrator forAvenham, Duxbury, and WordenWard,Chorley District Hospital
Full time, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
An opportunity has arisen to join our small and supportive ward administrators for our MentalHealth Inpatients administrationteam.
You will be the face of reception and first point of contact for visitors and the wider clinical team.
You willrequiredto support our three wards for patients who have been admitted due to crisis.
Whilst challenging at times, your contribution to the admin team is vital to ensure the daily administrative operations are completed., The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service to the Inpatient
ward within the Mental Health Network, coordinating their activities with other members of the
Administration Team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided. To carry out these
duties the ward clerk will be expected to utilise a range of technical skills, which may include word
processing, use of e-mail and other IT skills as well as using highly developed inter-personal and
communication skills.
The post holder will be aligned to a specific team and is required to work flexibly in response to the
needs of the Networks administrative service providing cover to departments on various sites as
directed by their Deputy Admin Lead to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
You will have proven experience ofworking in a busy administrative team.
Full training will beprovided,however, you must be able todemonstratetransferable skills that can be used in the role
