Full Job Description

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply., The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, relatives and visitors to the Ward and must demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Working as part of the Ward Team the post holder will be required to give efficient clerical support to the nursing staff on the Ward. Applicants must also have a good standard of education, be adaptable and have good organisational skills. A professional telephone manner is essential to receive and respond courteously to all telephone enquiries regarding patient care.Previous Ward Clerk experience and knowledge of the Patient Administration System (WPAS) is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
