Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic and organised person to provide Ward Clerking support to join our respiratory teams as we move into our new home opening in January 2025. You will join a team where you you will also work very closely with the clinical team .As an integral member of the team, you will be required to provide administrative support to the nursing staff and provide a wide range of duties ensuring an efficient service to the ward at all times. The applicant will be expected to be able to work well as part of a team and can multi-task, manage own time, and prioritise workload effectively., To provide clerical support to the nursing staff which in turn assists them in the provisionof the highest quality care for patients.

To work as part of the ward clerk team in providing a high standard of reception duties.

The reception duties include addressing patients' admission requirements with a highstandard of administrative acumen and caring attitude.

To maintain an exemplary standard of patient confidentiality and ensure that alldocumentation and computer data entries are as accurate as possible at the point andtime of entry, and in line with Information Governance Guidance.

To act as the first point of contact for patients, staff, and visitors to the ward areas.

The role of a ward clerk requires good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on own initiative. You are advised to read the job description and person specification before applying for this role.
