Ward Clerk

Nicol Unit is a rehabilitation and re-ablement service for patients who require support to maximise their independence in order to be safely discharged home., Provide clerical and administrative support to the clinical team in the Nicol Unit.

To input, maintain and retrieve data from a variety of databases.

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic person who is able to work as part of our busy unit. You will be part of the multi-disciplinary team and have the ability to work flexibly with good organisational skills that enable you to work on your own initiative to tight deadlines, thus contributing to the smooth running of the department.

This is a busy role so you must be confident, have the ability to deal with people's enquires and possess good interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent telephone manner.

The role includes ensuring that notes are tracked, ordered and available to doctors as well as kept tidy with results filed properly. Other duties include answering calls, checking patient's details, maintaining ward stocks and general clerical duties.

Applicants must have some IT and PC skills, knowledge of Lorenzo is desirable but full training will be given.
