Full Job Description

+ To provide administrative cover for the ward, and to perform general receptionist duties
+ To provide clerical assistance to the senior sister and Matron.
+ To process patient records on EPIC and liaise with ward staff to resolve any problems.
+ Key tasks would be update EPIC and assisting with data collection for audits.
+ Ensure adequate stock levels of general ward supplies, EROS requests and to ensure that the supplies are neatly arranged in cupboards.
+ To provide a range of non-clinical duties, Managing reception desk as the ward receptionist:
+ Welcoming patients and relatives to the ward and undertaking administration duties.
+ Answering the ward telephones timely and relating information accurately.
+ To answer telephone queries of a non clinical nature.
+ Admit, discharge and transfer patients on EPIC.
+ Responsible for data entry.
+ Act as the EPIC superuser for the ward.
+ Maintain all the patient boards with the appropriate consultants names.
+ Assist with the completion and collation of menus when required.
+ Any other duties as requested.
Obtain, transmit and save information relating to the delivery of a care service:
+ To ensure the admission and discharge book is updated daily and liaise with ward staff to resolve any issues that may arise.
+ Assisting with data collection as required for the purpose of audits as required.
+ Assist the ward staff with collecting information for the friends and family and patients survey.
+ Collect and deliver the ward post daily.
+ Undertake administrative duties for Ward Manager and Matron, general typing - letters, references, documents, notices for the ward, photocopying etc.
+ Carry out other duties required by the Matron commensurate with the grade
