Full Job Description
The role will involve meeting and greeting patients and their families arriving on both reception areas, inputting patient details onto the patient administrative system, requesting and tracking patient notes, scanning notes, taking telephone calls, admitting and discharging patients on the patient management systems. The successful post holder will play a vital role in ensuring clerical and administrative support if maintained and upheld in Specialist Surgery in-Patient. The post holder expected to have good interpersonal skills and communicate with the multi-disciplinary team. You will be working very closely with the nursing team in general and specifically, provide administrative support to the senior nurse team., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
The post holder will need to have administrator and have good communication skills. You will need to be organised and have an ability to manage time effectively. You will need to have experience with patient management systems and be prepared to undertake further training as required.,
