Full Job Description
The MY Orthopaedic Hub situated at Pontefract Hospital is looking for a ward clerk that can compliment our nursing team to provide our patients with excellent care.
MY Ortho Hub is situated over two floors and you will be expected to rotate between these departments.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administration support to the nursing team within the MY Ortho Hub., Your role will be to undertake routine clerical duties, data input, use and maintain databases and information systems within the department/Trust.
Preparing notes for patients on the waiting lists, filing of notes, admitting and discharging patients and maintain support clinics to the MY Ortho Hub.
Effective interpersonal skills and confident use of computers are essential as well as good written, verbal and numeracy skills. Attention to detail and working to a very high standard of accuracy will be expected. Previous experience in ward clerk administration would be helpful. Experience of working in an acute hospital, and awareness of ward routine would also be an advantage. You will be joining a friendly and committed team where personal development is encouraged.
