An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk on the Edward Myers Centre, Harplands Hospital. The Ward has a full MDT which strives to deliver high quality compassionate care. The ward will offer a full induction package. Training and competencies within the administrative setting and on-going support and professional development will be tailored to meet your individual needs. You should be a calm, organised and well-motivated person with a positive, mature and flexible approach to your work. The post involves contact with patients and their families, so good communication skills are vital. This is a full-time role for: 37.5 hours per week, To provide comprehensive clerical service to the ward ensuring that all duties are carried out accurately and efficiently and that confidentiality is maintained. The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team. You will be responsible for monitoring all of the non-clinical patient facilities service in the ward area and ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment to improve the patient's experience. The main elements of this role are conducting daily checks of the ward environment to monitor quality standards, to report deficiencies and take appropriate action. - All employees new to the Trust will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.
