Full Job Description

This role provides a comprehensive administration service within Care of the elderly Ward 7. The post holder will be required to understand ward systems, taking into account the needs of patients who require admission, transfer and discharge, and be expected to communicate with a wide range of professionals, consultants, doctors, nursing staff and patients/relatives and carers, organising own workload in order to maintain an efficient and professional service., We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a ward clerk supporting the Care of the Elderly Ward 7 Team. The successful candidate will need to be forward thinking and be able to provide a full range of clerical duties to support the smooth running of the ward. Good organisational and communication skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to work. The successful candidate will have previous office experience, ideally in a similar role and be able to priorities work to meet tight deadlines. A good general education is required. Knowledge of health IT systems to include PCS would be desirable although full training will be given.
