Full Job Description
This role requires the role holder to provide administrative and clerical support to the Mental Health Wards. The role guided by organisational guidelines, procedures. This role requires the holder to work as part of a busy team providing professional reception duties and clerical support and be expected to liaise in a professional manner., The ward clerk will provide an efficient clerical service to support the smooth running of day-to-day operational issues within the ward environment. The ward clerk will work as part of a busy team providing professional reception duties and clerical support to the Mental Health Ward/s and be expected to liaise in a professional manner with patients, visitors, colleagues, and other agencies and undertake a wide spectrum of duties within the confines of the role. As the ward clerk the broad spectrum of the role will encompass general office duties, clerical duties, reception and telephone duties. The ward clerk may also be required to cover at any site within the Mental Health Directorate as directed by their line manager.
