If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a strong understanding of how a Ward operates then we have just the role for you. You will be a valued member of the Ward team, support the professional staff with the overall care for all patients in the department. Its a chance to be part of an agile and innovative healthcare company thats determined to help our partners introduce new ideas and new ways of working, and its an opportunity to pursue a rewarding career as a key member of a caring team.Main duties of the job You will be part of a close knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standard of care to our patients and their families. Our inpatients team is made up of experienced nurses and healthcare assistants supported by our experienced Ward Manager, Claire. This role will have clinical and technical responsibilities along with some administrative duties such as welcoming and greeting patients to the department, explaining the layout, demonstrating to the patient how they summon assistance and where fire exits are. You will assist in preparing patients and informing the nurse in charge of any worries or issues, ensuring all patient tests results and records are accurately maintained.

We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard, learn and develop in the role, but most importantly someone who understands the value of team work and a good work ethic.,

  • Experience or a good understanding of a HCA duties and responsibilities
  • Experience in caring for others
  • The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues.
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Someone with the flexibility to fit into internal rotating shift pattern.
