Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking and dynamic individual to join the Trust as a Ward Housekeeper on Ward 11.
Ward 11 is a 15 bedded inpatient unit which consists of the North East Regional Burns and Plastic Surgery Unit, the Regional Cleft Lip and Palate unit and Ear Nose and Throat Unit.
The ward also supports an Outpatient Nurse Led Dressing Clinic and a Consultant Led Plastic Trauma and Burns Assessment Clinic.
We are seeking a motivated individual who would enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will need excellent communication and organisational skills and will be able to work well with all members of the multidisciplinary team to enable everyone to provide excellent care to patients and families.
The successful candidate will be expected to be an effective member of the multidisciplinary team, assisting the ward to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for the patients, families and staff.

+ 37 Hours 30 Minutes/Week over 4/5 days

You will be required to use computer systems to input, save and retrieve information, using e-record.
Monitoring stock levels on the ward and ordering via Oracle.
Assist with patient meals.
Training will be provided and support given to learn new skills where required., + Be an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team assisting the Ward/Department to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the patients, their families and visitors.
+ Report any concerns regarding the patient's condition to the qualified nurse.
+ Maintain patients' privacy and dignity at all times.
+ Report to the Nurse in Charge any issues that may prevent cleaning or compromise the safety of the environment.
+ Actively contribute to the provision of nutrition of the patients on the Ward/Department.
+ May undertake administrative and clinical duties as required.
+ To abide by Trust policies and procedures.
