We looking for a motivated leader to come and join the John Atwell Day Ward team.
John Atwell Day Ward is a paediatric medical and surgical day unit which caters for a range of conditions.

To understand the day-to-day responsibilities in more detail please read the full job description document attached., JADW is a nurse-led ward operating from 07:15 AM to 8:15 PM, Monday through Saturday. It is an excellent environment for honing your admission and assessment skills. The ward caters to both surgical and medical patients, including long-term patients returning for day case infusions or regularly repeated treatments. You'll gain experience in various specialties such as gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology, allergy, and anaphylaxis management.

Develop and maintain a ward/department philosophy that has the patient at the centre of care delivery.
Provide professional nursing leadership at ward/unit level and work with the Matron to enhance nursing practice and strategy.
Undertake nursing bleep holding responsibilities within designated area.
Evaluate the relevance of changes in clinical practice and then support and facilitate implementation in the clinical area.
Be a role model for all and contribute effectively to inter-professional team working.
