An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time position for highly motivated, suitably qualified, experienced, confident and forward thinking individuals for a Band 7/ Ward manager post to support the inpatient Adult acute and PICU wards at the Harbour. For more information of the extent of this role please feel free to contact Modern Matron, Adele Barker at adele.barker@lscft.nhs.uk., You must be able to provide clinical leadership and motivation to develop the existing staff whilst maintaining high professional standards, demonstrating commitment to staff development and patient care. Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of the wide ranging specialties which the wards provide is essential. You will promote and maintain extremely high standards of care whilst supporting and assisting the Modern Matron to implement local and national strategies and initiatives.

You will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, have strong leadership and staff development skills as well as a proven track record in change management. A strong commitment to your ongoing professional education and development is essential.

The successful post holder will be expected to support across the Harbour footprint and be able to work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week, however the main working hours will be Monday to Friday during office hours.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and mediumsecure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
