We are looking for an experienced, courageous, ambitious,and responsive Registered Nurse to join our team as a Ward Manager. The wards at POWCH provide care for patients requiring rehabilitation.The ward works with a Multidisciplinary team approach to providing excellentpatient care for patients, offering support to families time to talk toyour patient, build relationships, and be part of their recovery from admissionto discharge. If you have excellent clinical, communication and leadershipskills and would like a new challenge within a community setting this would bean ideal post . Main duties of the job Behaveconsistently with values and beliefs of the organization, promoting these atall times. Act asa role model to colleagues, seeking to maintain the highest standards ofprofessionalism. Usetheir initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality oftheir work and the service they provide to patients. Lead &manage hospital ward. Responsible for ward budget and overall responsibilityfor line management of staff within the ward. The role will require a highlevel of leadership and utilisation of motivational, innovation and changemanagement skills. Be anexperienced clinician / therapist and be responsible for providing expertknowledge and skills to more junior members of the team and the provision ofmore complex care planning and care provision. Be anintegral member of the ward team, work collaboratively with all services andagencies, to facilitate patients in achieving maximum independence.   • Significant acute / community hospital experience at band 6 level
  • Management of staff / teams
  • Caseload management

  • Qualifications Essential
  • Registered Nurse (RN1),
  • Registered Mental Nurse (RMN), Registered Nurse (Mental) (RN(M)), Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • Degree / Diploma and working towards a first level degree

  • Evidence of on-going continual professional development
