Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, good role model and motivated individual to support the team of very dedicated nurses on Silvertown Ward for 12month Fixed Term period.

If you are you looking to develop your career further as an experienced Band 6, or you are a Band 7 nurse looking to managea 25 bedded surgical ward, caring for patients from all surgical specialties, this is your opportunity now.You will be responsible for the operational effectiveness of the Unit and Lead and manage the Nursing staff., Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.

The Post holder will need to be NMC registered, with recent experience of working in an acute or surgical area at either Band 6 or Band 7 level. You will be a leader, highly focused, enthusiastic, and motivated. Able to demonstrate the appropriate competencies for the role, work with the existing multidisciplinary teams and have good communication skills at all levels.
