Full Job Description

Liaising closely with the Consultant Team, Operational Business Manager and Matron you will be tasked with ensuring high levels of patient care, developing your workforce to meet the ever changing needs of the service while maintaining good levels of safe staffing and budget control

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Acute Adult Care Division for the position of Ward Manager within our Respiratory Care Department on Ward D4. We are looking for a motivated and personable individual that is passionate about providing high quality to our patients, and developing the service further.

Ward D4 is a 27 bedded acute respiratory ward caring for patients who require enhanced respiratory care interventions. Taking referrals from within the hospital and community, the ward also provides clinical interventions in its own nurse led clinic room.

This is an opportunity to lead a highly skilled team in the fast paced environment of Acute Respiratory Care. As such a background within Respiratory care is ideal.

You will need strong clinical skills in the ability to care for the acutely unwell patient. You will have strong personal qualities of flexibility and adaptability, and be able to lead a team caring for patients from a variety of backgrounds and clinical needs.

The ward is critical to a number of Trust targets so the post will challenge your operational organisational skills. We are looking for an individual who displays strong inspirational leadership skills. Working as part of the senior Multi Displinary Team you will be responsible for ensuring your ward meets local and national targets for Respiratory Care., Disability Confident
