Full Job Description

Are you an experienced registered professional looking for a new challenge leading and coordinating a 12 bedded CAMHS Tier 4 inpatient unit in Bridgwater?

Wessex House provides highly specialist inpatient care for adolescents aged between 13 and 18 whose mental health problems cannot be managed in the community because of their complexity and risk., The postholder will be responsible and accountable for leading and coordinating the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of the inpatient ward, ensuring adequate systems are in place to support continuity over a 24-hour period.

The postholder will take a key role in continuing the development of the inpatient ward using research and recovery focussed innovative practice.

The postholder will provide clinical and managerial leadership of the inpatient ward, leading by example to maintain visibility and accessibility to staff, patients and visitors, including undertaking direct clinical care of patients as well as providing support to the medical, nursing and AHP team on a daily basis, which empowers staff to deliver patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care within a defined budget.
