Full Job Description

  • Ringfenced for Ward 4 and Homeward only
  • The post holder will be required to have accountability for the day to day operational service delivery for the Elective Care Ward and the Homeward service with continuous responsibility for the safe management, development, organisation and delivery of patient care within the clinical area. The role will require the individual to manage the ward team and the environment to ensure high standards are maintained, in compliance with the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and the Trust/ward objectives. The candidate will be expected to lead and develop a continually changing service, ensuring the provision of a quality focused seamless service for patients whilst ensuring a safe and secure working environment for staff. The candidate should be a professionally credible first level registered nurse with substantial experience of care management within orthopaedic/ surgical elective care. A well-respected professional and experienced clinical nurse who sets high standards and leads by example to motivate and empower others. Deputising for the Senior Clinical Matron including provision of ward, department and site senior nurse cover., Provide leadership and direction for the area that is continually evolving.
