Full Job Description

You will be self-driven, innovative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be highly motivated with a desire to provide the highest standards of care, whilst demonstrating clear leadership. You will provide support and supervision of nursing and non-nursing staff; assist in maintaining and monitoring of standards through Nursing Metrics Dashboard, Essence of Care Benchmarks and Trust Infection Control Audits and standards., We have a management team that is both innovative and proactive in ensuring that high quality care is delivered to our patients. We are keen to encourage developments in line with Trust policy and working in new ways. An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Band 7 Ward Manager/Charge nurse on CAS Same Day Emergency Care (SDec) at Nottingham City Hospital. SDEC is the provision of same day care for emergency patients who would otherwise be admitted to hospital. When a patient comes to hospital, an SDEC service means patients with some medical concerns can be assessed, diagnosed, treated and safely discharged home the same day, rather than being admitted, With over 20,000 staff, we are one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population.
